With soo many types of wine available at a bar, supermarket or restaurant it can be difficult to pick something out. We've knocked up a super simple guide to making that process as easy as possible.
Generally the most popular whites are as follows:
CHARDONNAY
PINOT
SAUVIGNON BLANC
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
VALUE - Here im more concerned with if the wine was enjoyable enough to justify the price (whatever that may be)
FEEL/FLAVOUR - Are we after something floral? spicy? or sweet? Consider the dryness, if you cant stand dry wine a sauvignon blanc is probably a no go.
RATINGS - While I argue wine is entirely subjective, it is worth having a brief look on popular wine apps which will help you to make a fairly informed decision quickly in the isle of the supermarket.
NOTE:
If you're after a great and inexpensive pinot "secret cellar" is a great starting point.
